Parent-Child Package

Hi Folks Namaste! Just trying to understand if we have a parent package, calling a child package through execute package task. Now in parent package delayvalidation is set to true, most of the posts over internet says that child package's delay validation should be set to false. If we have variables/expressions assigned on connection manager property on both child and parent packages, it would make sense to set the delay validation set to true in child package as well.
