Today I read about Data Tap on SSIS packages. I found a Stored Procedure in a book and I have used it and have run it against an SSIS package. I have understood that it can be used to analyze data for troubleshooting in a production environment without affecting the result of running the package in a production environment. This Stored Procedure does everything the package does. That is it also transfers data to the destination table in addition to writing the data in an scv file. So what is the point of that method when the SSIS package in production environment is completely completed? Is there someone who can explain to me that it is something I have misunderstood or can something be done so that the destination table is not affected?
